London Book Fair: big week!

Next week is the London Book Fair at Olympia: here's what we'll be up to and where you can see us.

Monday is the Digital Minds conference, and I'll be speaking twice:

1) Branching Out: New Publishing Models
'The fast developing realm of businesses experimenting with new publishing models will also be explored in ‘Branching Out’, an event curated by independent consultant Alison Jones. On this panel Anna Lewis of Valobox, Bibliocloud’s Emma Barnes, Robin Cutler from Ingram Spark and Readership’s Sam Rennie will cover everything from crowdsourcing to whether pay-as-you-go is a viable business model for books.’

2) Join the Conversations - small group discussions. 15.45
I'll be leading a lead a 'join the conversation' table at Publishing for Digital Minds in the afternoon, on APIs. This session is 15:30 in conference room 2.

Bibliocloud's official launch out of beta is on the Tuesday. Kerpow!
We have a full diary of meetings on the Tuesday so look forward to seeing friends old and new throughout the day.

Another full day of meetings including some Meet the Innovators slots. We still have a few available so if you want to grab us for a quick 15 mins, and you're an IPG member, book the last slot now. We'll also be at the IPG stand party at the end of the afternoon.

Home straight! Another set of back to back meetings and more Meet the Innovators.
At 4pm I'll be on an LBF panel:
Title: Creativity, Coding and Commercial Savvy - fusion skills for a future in publishing?
Stream: People Development: Re-skilling our industry
Venue/Room: Olympia Room Grand Hall
Date and Time: Thursday 16th April, 16:00-17:00

As digital technology continues to drive media convergence - the fusion of creative, technical and entrepreneurial skills is key to the continued success of UK publishing and the wider creative industries.
This session will look at the innovative work being done to help develop fusion skills for publishing through the Oxford Publishing Group - a collaborative partnership between publishing employers in Oxfordshire with support from Oxford Brookes University and Creative Skillset. It will discuss the benefits of the fusion skills approach - and how this can generate new ideas, new projects, new business models and new ways of working.

Lie in!

So we do hope to see you at our stand 6E02 (the shared IPG stand), in the aisles or at a party. Here's to a great Fair!
